What is the function of muscles and joints? To allow movement
What are antagonistic muscles? Muscles that work together, but in opposite directions, to move a bone.
Give an example of antagonistic muscles. Biceps and Triceps
Name the fibres that connect bones to other bones. Ligaments
Name the fibres that connect muscle to bone. Tendons
Name the fluid that acts as a shock absorber in joints. Synovial Fluid
Name the substance that covers the end of bones to prevent them rubbing against each other. Cartilage
