Carnivores | Organisms that eat meat |
Herbivores | Organisms that eat plants |
Omnivores | Organisms that eat both plants and meat |
Predator | Something that kills and eats other organisms |
Prey | Gets eaten by a predator |
Decomposer | Something that breaks down organisms and turn the to soil by breaking down it for nutrients |
Consumers | Something that eats something else for food |
Producer | Something that uses sunlight to make food (Photosynthesis) |
Parasites | Goes onto a host and might give the host a disease Ex:Mosquito |
Host | Gives a home to a Parasite |
Limiting Factors | Factors that are limited and if there are not enough the population will go down |
Ocean | A big body of salt water |
Desert | A place where there is a little or no water |
Habitat | A place where an organism lives |
Salt Marshes | A grassland that is a land habitat at low tide and water habitat at high tide |
Estuary | A salt marsh |
Forest | A large area covered in trees |
Grassland | A large area covered in grass |
Lake | A body of fresh water surrounded by land |
Niche | The role an organism plays in its environment. |
