Nucleus controls all cell activities. Contains nucleolus
Mitochondria known as powerhouse as it provides energy for the cell. site of cellular respiration
Cell Membrane acts as a semi-porous barrier that allows some substances in and out of the cell. It encloses all cell's content.
Cell Wall Supports and protects the cell
Cytoplasm a jelly-like substance that holds all of the organelles within the cell together
Chloroplasts contains chlorophyll, uses energy from sun to make food(glucose) for plants(photosynthesis)
Vacuole stores large amounts of food and water in plants
Golgi Apparatus processes and packages molecules for use inside the cell, or for removal from the cell
Rough Endoplasmic reticulum studded with ribosomes, transports materials
Ribosomes Build amino acids into complex proteins
