Hydrogen bond A weak attraction between polar molecules
Acid A compound that increases the number of hydrogen ions in a solution
Base A compound that reduces the number of hydrogen ions in a solution
Ionic Bond The bond formed as a result of the attraction between positive and negative ions
Charge The quantity of unbalanced electricity in a body (either positive or negative)
Atom The smallest component of an element having the chemical properties of the element
Nucleus Protons + Neutrons
pH A measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution
