Parts of the cell

TermDefinition
Cell membrane Like a club bouncer, some people get in, some don't. This is called Selectively permeable.
Nucleus The control center of the cell
Nuclear envelope Also selectively permeable, it protects the nucleus.
Nuclear pore Ir allows bigger things to in and out
Nucleolus Stores the information to make RNA
Chromatin Uncoiled DNA
Cytoplasm Jelly like stuff that gives the cell it's shape
Mitochondrion The power house of the cell
Golgi complex Sends things to other parts of the cell
Centriole Used when the cell divides
Microfilament The cell skeleton
Ribosome Makes protien
Vacuol Storage unit
Lysosome The janitors, gets rid of any broken part
Rough ER has ribosomes all over and makes protien
Smooth ER Makes fat
