| Total Fertility Rate | The average number of children that would be born to a woman over her lifetime |
| Replacement Fertility | The fertility rate needed to ensure that the population remains constant as each set of parents is replaced by its offspring. |
| Demographic Transitions | The transition from high birth and death rates to a low birth and death rate due to the per-industrial country converting to an industrialized economic system. |
| Wealth Gap | Economic inequality is the difference between individuals and populations in the distributions of their assets, wealth, or income. |
