species The smallest name grouping used in classification
fungi Living things such as mushrooms that look like plants, but can not make their own food.
moneran The kingdom of classification for organisms that have only one cell
classification The grouping of things by using a set of rules
kingdom The largest group into which living things can be classified
protist The kingdom of classification for organisms that have only one cell and also have a nucleus or cell control center
genus The second-smallest name grouping used in classification
vertebrate An animal with a backbone
invertebrate An animal without a backbone
mollusk An invertebrate that may or may not have a hard outer shell
arthropod An invertebrate with legs that have several joints
amphibian An animal that has moist skin and no scales
mammal An animal that has hair and produces milk for its young
reptile An animal that has dry, scaly skin
vascular plant The plants that have tubes
non-vascular plant The plants that do not have tubes
