Pedigrees and Mutations

TermDefinition
Pedigree written graphical records of ancestry. A family tree and genealogy are examples
Mutation a mistake, defect, or change in the genetic code, they can be negative, positive, or neutral
Gene Mutations changes in the nucleotides of DNA that can cause genetic defects in the offspring of organisms
Chromosomal Mutations are defects in the number or structure of chromosomes within a cell
