The Scope of Life

TermDefinition
Biospere Includes all life and the places where they live.
Ecosystems Consists of all living organisms and non living components.
Communities All organisms in the (tide pool)ecosystem
Populations Group of Interacting individuals belonging to one species and living in the same area.
Organisms Individual living things; like bacterium,fungus,protist, plant, or animal
Organ systems and organs organism's body consists of several organ systems, each contains two or more organs.
Tissues Each organ is made up of several different tissues. A tissue consists of a group of similar cells performing a specific fucntion
Cells This is the smallest unit that can display all the characteristics of life
Organelles These are functional components of cells, such as the Nucleus that houses the DNA.
Molecules Molecules are a group of two or more atoms held together by covalent bonds.
Atoms The smallest unit of matter that retains the properties of an element
