Adaptation An inherited characteristic that results from changes to a species overtime.
Biology The science of life
Development the process of the natural changes that take place during the life of an organism
Growth results in addition of mass to an organism and, in many organisms, the new formation of new cells and structures.
Homeostasis regulation of an organism's internal conditions to maintain life
Organization arrangement in an orderly fashion
Reproduction production of offspring
Response Reaction to a stimulus
Species a group of organisms that can breed with one another and produce fertile offspring
Stimulus A part of an organisms internal and external environment that causes some of reaction from the organism.
Theory an explanation of natural phenomenon supported by many observations and experiments
Metric system system of measuring that uses units with the divisions that are powers of 10
Peer Review process by which procedures used during an experiment and research is evaluated by other scientist in the same field
Science body of knowledge based on the study of nature
