| Biology | The study of life |
| Development | Natural changes to an organism. |
| Growth | Addition to mass/ cells to an organism. |
| Homeostasis | Regulation of an organisms internal conditions. |
| Organism | any thing that has or had all of the living characteristics |
| Organization | Arranged in an orderly way. Like ears on top of head, Mouth below nose, eyes above nose, etc. |
| Reproduction | The production of offspring, including asexually. |
| Response | Reaction to a stimulus |
| Species | A group of similar organisms that can breed and produce fertile offspring. |
| Stimulus | Something that causes a reaction |
| Theory | An explanation of a phenomenon supported by experimentation observations. |
| Metric System | Unit of measurement using the powers of ten |
| Peer Review | A process in which your peers, like scientist in your field, evaluate your work. |
| Science | Body of knowledge based on the study of nature. |
| Control Group | Experimentation group that is used as a comparison to the others. |
| Constant | Factor that remains the same throughout. |
| Data | Information gained from observation. |
| Dependent Varible | factor that relies on the independent variable. |
| Experiment | A testing of an hypothesis. |
| Experimental Group | Group exposed to the tested factor. |
| Hypothesis | Educated guess. |
| Independent Varible | Tested factor |
| Infrence | Using the knowledge you have/ have learned and making a logical conclusion. |
| Observation | Direct method of gathering information. Such as watching a piece of bread mold. |
| Scientific Method | The method in which scientist gather information, and test hypothesis. |
