Scavenger hunt

chemical property a property used to characterize materials in actions that change their identity
physical property property used to characterize matter and energy and their reactions
solute the substance to be dissolved
solvent the substance that does the dissolving
dissolve to become melted or liquified
chemical bonds the attraction between atoms in a molecule
alloy a mixture of two or more metals
chemical formula a set of chemical symbols showing the elements present in a compound and their relative proportions, and in some cases the structure of the compound
periodic table a table of elements that organizes all the elements in rows and columns
componets one of the set of the minimum of chemical constitutents
homogeneous mixture two or more substances that form the mixture are evenly distributed throughout the mixture
colloids a substance made up of a system of particles with linear dimensions in the range of about 10^-1 to 5x10^5cm
solubility the ability of the solvent to dissolve the solute
