Basic endangered species vocabulary

Biodiversity hotspot A location with high biodiversity The Siberian Forest

Range The area in which a particular species lives. For Siberian tigers, it's a narrow strip of mountains along the Sea of Japan

Poaching The act of illegally hunting an endangered animal People who hunt Siberian tigers for their fur
