DNA and RNA

TermDefinition
Nucleotides nucleic acids made up of three parts; a sugar, a phosphate group, and a base that contains nitrogen. There are five different nitrogenous bases; adenine, cytosine, thymine, guanine, and uracil
Purines large nucleotide bases. Adenine and guanine are examples
Pyramidines small nucleotide bases. Thymine and cytosine are examples
Chargaff’s Rule in a DNA molecule the amount of thymine always equals the amount of adenine and the amount of cytosine always equals the amount of guanine
DNA Replication process by which DNA copies itself
