| Homologous Chromosomes | Carrying the same genes. |
| Meiosis | The type of cell division that produces haploid sex cells such as eggs and sperm cells. |
| Asexual Reproduction | One organism produces one or more new new organism that are identical to itself. |
| Sexual Reproduction | Two parents each contribute a sex cell to the new organism. |
| Fertilization | A sperm call and egg cell join together. |
