DNA A molecule containing information that determines traits

interphase The part of the cell cycle in which the cell is not dividing

replication How the cell makes copies of DNA
mutation Changes in the number, type, or order of bases on a piece of DNA
RNA Information in the DNA is copied to a separate molecule called ribonucleic acid
ribosome A cell organelle made of ribosomal RNA and protein
cytokinesis The division of the parent cell's cytoplasm
