what is fungi? a eukaryotic organism that has a cell wall,uses spores to reproduce.
what are protists? a eukaryotic organism that cannot be classified as an animal,plant,or fungus.
what is a protozoan? animal like protist.
what is pesudopods? temporary bulges of the cell.
what is cilia? hair like projections that move in a wavelike movement.
what is a contractile vacoule? a structure that collects the extra water then expels it from the cell.
what is hypae? the branching of the fungus.
what is lichen multiple fungus and algae living together.
what is algae? plant like protists which are extremely diverse.
what is a spore? is a tiny cell that is able to growinto a new organism.
what is symbiosis? close relationship in which at least one of the species benefit.
what is mutualism? when both partners benefit from symbiosis.
what is pigment? chemicals that produce color.
what is fruiting? body produces spores in a reproductive system.
what is budding? no spores are required in this way asexually reproducing
what is algal bloom? rapid growth of a population of algae
what are red tides? saltwater agal blooms
what is euthrophication is a process in which nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus build up in a lake or stream over time which cause a algae growth
what type of protist is malaria animal like protists
what spread malaria most commonly mosquito
what are two fungus that humans can get? ringworm and athlete foot
what is a flagellum? a tail like whip that help let an organism move?
