How are Diasccharides formed? Diassacharides are formed when two moosaccharides are joined together by condensation
starch is polysaccharide, so what are polysacchardies? Large molecules made up of monomers and the monomers of polysaccharides are monosaccharides
what are monomers? smaller units
name two polysaccharides starch and cellulose
what are Lipids? Lipids are oils and fats
what does a triglyceride consist of? a molecule of glycerol with three fatty acids attached to it
What is the bond that forms between each fatty acid and the glycerol? Ester bond
saturated if every carbon atom in the chain is joined by a single bond
unsaturated if one or more of the bonds is a double bond
polyunsaturated a fatty acid with many double bondsj
what is the name of the reaction that joins a glycerol molecule linked to three fatty acids condensation reactions
how many ester bonds are formed in a triglyceride three ester bonds
