Primary productivity Primary productivity is basically the rate where producers build biomass (it also determines the amount of energy that goes through the different trophic levels).
Energy Pyramid (or Food Pyramid) Emphasizes the energy lost from the tropic levels.
Biomass Pyramid Represents the biomass in each tropic level.
Pyramid of Numbers Depicts the number of organisms in each tropic levels.
Kinetic Energy The energy of motion (basically anything in motion is kinetic energy, since kinetic means "motion").
Potential Energy Stored energy due to the body's position or arrangements.
Thermal Energy A type of kinetic energy that transfers from a warmer object to a colder object.
Chemical Energy A type of potential energy that results from chemicals reacting to each other.
Calorie An amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water to 1 degree celsius.
ATP ATP is produced by almost all living things in their mitochondria. Also, it is the major currency of energy in the body.
