What does mRNA stand for? Messenger RNA
Triplet or codon A sequence of three bases present on mRNA that codes for one amino acid
Start codon A sequence of three bases (such as AUG) present on mRNA that tells the ribosome to begin assembling a protein
Stop codon A sequence of three bases (such as UAG)that tells the ribosome to stop assembling the amino acids and to release the chain of amino acids
Anti-codon A sequence of three bases present on transfer RNA that will be complementary to a codon present on messenger RNA
Codon A sequence of three bases present on mRNA that contains the code for one amino acid in a protein
