Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis the process (by autotrophs) that converts CO2 and water in the presence of light into glucose and oxygen
Respiration the process (by autotrophs and heterotrophs) that releases energy by breaking down glucose
Carbon Dioxide a reactant (ingredient) of photosynthesis needed by plants
Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) principal chemical used to store and release energy
Adenosine Diphosphate (ADP) used to store energy by adding another phosphate to turn it into ATP
Oxygen a product of photosynthesis used by animals to breathe
Water a reactant (ingredient) of photosynthesis
Glucose a product of photosynthesis to store energy
Pigment an energy absorbing molecule
Heterotroph organism that has to eat other organisms to get energy
Autotroph organism that has the ability to produce its own food from the sunlight.
Chlorophyll the main energy absorbing pigment for plants
