Definitions

QuestionAnswer
Chromatin Long strands of DNA that are scattered throughout the nucleus.
Vacuole A liquid filled organelle that stores water and food for the cell.
Nucleus Holds the cells DNA and is the control center of the cell.
Ribosomes Contributes to the formation of the substaces important for the cell function.
Lysosomes Digests the food in the lact or animal cell.
Nucleolus A dark, condensed spot in the nucleus that manufactures ribosome parts.
DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) The cells genetic meterial.
Endoplasmic reticulum Forms a series of canals within the ctyoplasm.
Mitocondria transforms energy for the cell.
Golgi Body Packages useful meterials and secrete them to the outside of the cell for use elsewhere in the organisim.
Nuclear membrane Encloses the cells genetic meterial inside the nucleus.
Cell Membrane Seperates the cells contents from its surrondings
Cytoplasm It surrounds the nucleus and the other cells organelle's.
