Homeostasis and Cells

Homeostasis Relatively constant internal physical chemical condition
Maintaining Homeostasis Organism will grow, respond to environment, transform energy and reproduce to achieve this.
Prokaryotes Remarkably adaptable and live almost everywhere, for example bacteria. In terms of numbers this type of cell dominates on Earth.
How do cells of multicellular organisms work together to maintain homeostasis? The cells become specialized for particular tasks and communicate with one another to maintain homeostasis
Tissue Group of similar cells that performs a particular function
Organ Many groups of tissues working together
Organ System Group of organs working together to perform a specific function
Levels of Organization Muscle cell -> Smooth Muscle Tissue -> Stomach -> Digestive System
Receptor Needed for a cell to be able to respond to a chemical signal, in which the signaling molecule can bond to it.
