BIOLOGY[ 10% RULE]

Only 10% of the energy eaten moves up through the food pyramid.

THE 10% RULE The 10% Ruleis each time food energy is transferred up the pyramid, 90% of the biomass is lost.
PRODUCERS Producers are plants that can make their own food.
DECOMPOSERS Decomposers are plants or animals that eats or puts back into the ground, to a body that hes recently died.
CONSUMERS Consumers are plants or animals that eat other plants or animals for food energy.
BIOMASS Biomass is the total mass of all living and dead plants and animals.
THE FLOW OF ENERGY Energy flows throw ecosystems, but never recycles
