Cell Mebrane Proctect outer layer that controll what enters and leaves
Endoplasmic Recticulum A folder membrane that moves materials around inside the cell
Nucleus Stored info on DNA molecules/directs activites of the cell
Ribosomes on ER The smallest organelle makes protems
Cytoplasm Gel-like material that streams though cell store chemicals
Golgi Body Stacks of sac like membrane/package materials shipout
Vacuole Small sac that stores water food and waste temporarily
Mitochondrion Inner folder membrane breaks down glucose to release energy
Lysosome Small sacs with pares/digestive enzymes get rid of waste worm out parts and invaders
Hooke Who gave the cells its names while looking at cork.
Leeuwenhoek Who was one of the first people to describe living cells. He studied pond water under a microscope
Schwann Who was the first to conclude that all animals are made of cells.
Schleiden Who concluded that all plants are made of cells.
Virchow Who determined that all cells must come from pre-existing cells.
