| What do Primary Consumers mean? | First organism to feed in the food chain. They go their energy from plant life. They are herbivores |
| What does Photosynthesis mean? | Chemical reaction within chloroplasts of plants where carbon dioxide and water are converted into glucose for energy |
| What does Omnivore mean? | An organism which feed on vegetation and meat |
| What does Prey Mean? | The hunted animal |
| What does Predator mean? | A hunter within the food chain |
| What does Carnivore mean? | A term to describe a meat eater |
| What does Secondary Consumer mean? | The second organism to feed in the food chain |
| What do the Arrows show? | These indicate the direction of energy flow between organisms |
| WHat does the Sun do? | The provider of energy in the form of U.V. Light needed to power the chemical reaction within photosynthetic plants |
| What does Herbivore mean? | Animals which feed directly on vegetation only |
| What does the Top Predator mean? | Top of the food chain. This organism is not preyed upon |
