QuestionAnswer
Definition of a cell Cells are basic units of structure and function of living things
Three parts of the cell theory All living things are composed of cells we are made up of 100,000,000,00 cells Most cells are michroscopic in size
Shape of an animal cell The animal cell is a circle
What does the cell membrane look like? The cell membrane is the outside of the cell. It looks like a circle i guess.
What does the nucleus look like? the nucleus looks like a circle, it is the little circle in the middle of the cell (that contains a little circle).
What does the mitochondria look like? the mitochondria lkooks like a very small oval with an "M" inside it.
What does the cytoplasm look like? the cytoplasm is the inside of a cell, it dosn't exactly have a shape.
What does the vacuole look like? The vacuole is the little circles all over the cell. (inside)
What does the endoplasmic reticulum look like? Little waves all over the inside of the cell)
What do ribosomes look like?
Function of the cell mambrane Controlls what substances come in and out of the cell
Function of the nucleus directs all of the cells activities
Function of the Mitochondria Produces most of the energy needed by cells
Function of the cytoplasm Holds the organells
Function of the vacuole Stores food water and waste products
Function of the Endoplasmic reticulum Carries protein and other materials from one part of the cell to another
Function of Ribosomes Produce protein (remember RPP)
Shape of a plant cell Square
What makes the chloroplasts and the cell wall look diffrent from eachother? Cell wall is outside the cell and shaped like a square. Chloroplasts look like a football/oval.
Function of chloroplasts Captures energy from the sun and uses it tomake food for cell.
Function of Cell wall Protection and support
Diffrences between animal and plant cell Animal cell is round and a plant cell is a square. Plant cells have chloroplasts and a cell wall, animal cells don't.
