Consumer Any organism that is heterotrophic(can not make it's own food
Herbivore An organism that only eats producers
Carnivore An organism that only eats other consumers
Omnivore An organism that can eat producers or consumers
Decomposer Organisms that break down matter and replenish the earth
Scavanger A consumer that eats dead leftover meat.
Food chain energy transfer through a series of organisms.
Food Web A chain of food chains join together
Photosynthesis The process in which plants gain energy from the sunlight
Overpopulation When too many of a certain species are in an ecosystem
