Producers Organisms that use sunlight to make food.
Photosynthesis The process plants use to make food out of sunlight.
Herbivore An organism that only eats plants.
Carnivore An organism that only eats meat.
Omnivore An organism that eats plants and meat.
Consumer Organisms that eat other organisms.
Scavenger Omnivores that get energy by feasting on dead organisms.
Detritivore Decomposers that return nutrients back into the soil for use by producers.
Decomposers Organisms that break down dead organisms in order to obtain their energy.

Food Web A chain of food chains that tie together.
