TermDefinition
Biology science of life; how living things interact, how things function both regularly and at a molecular level
Organization order shown by living things
Stimulus any change within or outside of an organism that causes it to react
Homeostasis regulation of the inside of an organism, needed for it to continue living
Adaption how organisms change in order to deal with a changed environment so it can continue living
Theory an explanation of why something is how it is, based on observations and investigations
Species group of organisms that can reproduce and those offspring can reproduce as well
Reproduction production of offspring
Development Changes an organism experiences before reaching adulthood
Metabolism All chemical reactions that occur within an organism
Response organisms reaction to stimulus
Inference Guess based on prior knowledge
