TermDefinition
Controlled Experiment An experiment that tests one factor at a time by comparing a control group with a variable group
Describe To explain something by giving details, or drawings
Relationship The connection or similarity between two or more things
Hypothesis An educated guess to the outcome of an experiment
Variable The item in the experiment that you are changing to see if it makes a difference
Data Information gathered during the experiment. It can be measurements or observations
Analyze To look at results of an experiment and come up with an explanation of what the data means
Conclusion The final statement of what the experiment was about and what you found out
Scientific Method Steps scientist use to do an experiment and solve a problem
Investigation An experiment or research to find answers to a question
Observation To look at something and study with your senses
Research To look up information and learn more about a topic
