ecosystem a group of living things that interact with each other and with there environment
organism scientific word for a living thing
biotic factor al living or dead organism in an ecosystem (ex animals, plants, bacteria)
abiotic factor nonliving part of the ecosystem (light, soil, temperature, oxygen and water)
light Electromagnetic radiation that can be perceived by the human eye. It is made up of electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between 4 × 10-7 and 7 × 10-7 meters.
soil Soil is a natural body comprised of solids (minerals and organic matter), liquid, and gases that occurs on the land surface, occupies space, and is characterized by one or both of the following: horizons, or layers, that are distinguishable from the initi
temperature hot hot or cold something is; a measure of the average energy of motion of the particles of a substance
oxygen A nonmetallic element that exists in its free form as a colorless, odorless gas and makes up about 21 percent of the Earth's atmosphere.
water A colorless, odorless compound of hydrogen and oxygen. Water covers about three-quarters of the Earth's surface in solid form (ice) and liquid form, and is prevalent in the lower atmosphere in its gaseous form, water vapor. Another name for it is H2O
