basic ecology terms

| species | a group of oraganisms that can mate with each other and produce offspring that can also mate and reproduce. | blacked tailed prairie dog humans. |

| community | all the different populations that live together in an area | prairie dogs and birds |
| ecosystem | the community of organisms that live in a particular area, along with their non-living environment | grass sunlight and soil in prairie town with praire dogs |
