what is paracine and synaptic signaling? types of local signaling. paracine signaling is when cell secrets hormones to several receiving cell. synaptic signaling usual occurs in neurons.
what are the processes of cell signaling? 1) ligands 2) reception 3) transduction 4) response
what happens during reception during the cell signaling process? The first messenger finds and targets a cell.
What happens during transduction? the signal is converted into a form for the cell to respond to.
what happens during response during cell signaling process? the cell responds to the signal with an action.
where are the intracellular receptors? located in the cytoplasm or the nucleus membrane
where are the cell membrane receptors? integral membrane of the cell membrane
what are the three types of membrane receptors? G-protein, Receptor tyrosine kinase, ion channel receptors
what are the advantages of having many steps in signaling? signals can be regulated. amplification of original signal
