This biome has moderate and seasonal temperatures, low precipitation and features large land tracts of grassland, shrubs, and annuals, rodents and some larger carnivores. Temperate Grasslands
This biome has hot summers, temperate winters, low precipitation in summer and high in winter. It features trees, shrubs, and small animals. Chaparral
This biome has extreme cold temperatures, low precipitation and features modified grassland, perma-frost, short growing season with some plants and animals. Tundra
This biome features large amounts of dissolved minerals (mostly salts) in the water, hugh array of aquatic animal and plant life. Marine Aquatic
This biome has moderate, seasonal temperatures with moderate precipitation and features many trees (that lose leaves in cold season), mosses grasses, shrubs, abundant animal life. Temperate deciduous forest

Animal life contains lemmings, arctic foxes, snowy owls, caribou and reindeer. Region is northernmost. Tundra
Very cold. Animal life includes caribou, wolves, moose, bear, rabbits and lynx. Region is Northern Forests Taiga
