Fungi, Plants, Animals

Animal Eukaryotic, multicellular heterotroph without any cell walls
Biodiverity The variety of organisms in a given area
Body symmetry The balance of body parts in animals
Ectothermic Description of body temperature that changes depending on the enviroment
Endoskeleton The internal skeleton of vertebrates that provides support and protection
Endothermic Description of a body temperature that mostly remains the same using an organism's metabolism
Exoskeleton The hard outer covering in invertebrate that provides protection
Fungi A eukaryotic heterotroph that can absorb nutrients by decomposing wastes and dead organisms
Nonvascular plants A plant with tissues that are a few cells thick; water and nutrients move from cell to cell by way of diffusion and osmosis
Photosynthesis Process of using energy from the sun, carbon dioxide, and water to make sugars and oxygen
Placentals Mammals whose offspring develop completely inside the uterus
Plant Eukaryotic, multicellular autotroph with cell walls; usually found on land
Seed Structure that contains an embryo, a food supply and is covered by a protective coat
Spore Specialized cell used in reproduction by fungi and some plants
Vascular plants A plant with tissues that contains tube-like cells which allow water and nutrients to be transported
