| Monocytes | Type of white blood cells. They migrate into the connective tissue where they become macrophages and move to kill invading enemies. |
| Macrophage | A type of white blood cell that eats bacteria as part of the immune response to infection. |
| Staphylococcus | A group of bacteria that can cause a number of diseases as a result of infection of various tissues of the body. |
| Neutrophils | A type of white blood cell. They identify and eliminate many kinds of invading bacteria. |
| Pseudonas | An infection caused by a bacterium, and may affect any part of the body . In most cases, however, pseudomonas infections affects only persons who are very ill, usually hospitalized. |
