Immune System Attack

Students will select the corect statement about the function of cells/infection

TermDefinition
Monocytes Type of white blood cells. They migrate into the connective tissue where they become macrophages and move to kill invading enemies.
Macrophage A type of white blood cell that eats bacteria as part of the immune response to infection.
Staphylococcus A group of bacteria that can cause a number of diseases as a result of infection of various tissues of the body.
Neutrophils A type of white blood cell. They identify and eliminate many kinds of invading bacteria.
Pseudonas An infection caused by a bacterium, and may affect any part of the body . In most cases, however, pseudomonas infections affects only persons who are very ill, usually hospitalized.
