Somatic Cell Also called body cells

Homologous Chromosome one chromosome comes from each parent.
Autosome Chromosome pairs 1-22
Sex Chromosome X and Y, determine gender in mammals.
Sexual Reproduction Fertilization between egg and sperm.
Fertilization The nuclei of the egg and sperm fuse.
Diploid cells have two copies of every chromosome.
Haploid cells have one copy of every chromosome.
meiosis makes haploid cells from diploid cells.
