| Lungs | The main organ of the Respiratory system |
| Alveoli | The sacs of lung tissue that specialize in the movement of gases between air and blood |
| Bronchi | The passages that direct air into the lungs |
| Larynx | The voice box |
| Pharynx | The throat and it is the only body part shared between two systems |
| Trachea | The wind pipe and it is connected to the Pharynx |
| Respiration | The proccess in which oxygen and glucose undergo a complex series of chemical reactions in cells |
| Cilia | Tiny hair like extensions that move together like whips |
| Diaphragm | A large, dome shaped muscle that helps you breath |
| Vocal Cord | Flaps of protective tissue that produce your voice |
| Gas Exchange | The proccess in which carbon dioxide in blood cells and oxygen in the lungs move through the thin walls of the Alveoli and take each others places |
