purine nitrogenous bases that have a double ring of carbon and nitrogen atoms
pyrimidine nitrogenous bases that have a single ring of carbon and nitrogen atoms
base-pairing rules ruel that in DNA, cytosine on one strand pairs with guanine on the oppisite strand and adenine pairs with thymine
complemetary base pair pairs of bases, contain one double ring purine and one single ring pyrimidine
base sequence the order of nitrogenous bases on a chain of DNA
