What is a Cell? Cells are the basic units of life.
What is a Prokaryote? Cells without membrane bound structures.
What is a Eukayote? Cells with membrane bound structures.
What is an Organelle? Organelles are smaller parts of a eukayotic cell that have a specific function.
What is a Plasma Membrane? A Plasma Membrane controls what enters and leaves a cell.
What is a Cell Wall? A Cell Wall is an inflexible barrier that protects and gives plant cells support.
What is a Nucleus? A Nucleus is the control center of the cell.
What are Ribosomes? Ribosomes are sites of protein assembly.
What are Vacuoles? Vacuoles are used for temporary storage of materials or water, much larger in plant cells.
What is a Mitochondria? The Mitochondria converts glucose in ATP.

Animal Cells No chloroplast, or cell wall. Comes in many different shapes and sizes.
