Monomers The smaller units, or monomers, join together to form polymers.
Polymers The smaller units, or monomers, join together to form polymers.
Carbohydrates are compounds made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms, usually in a ratio of 1 : 2 : 1.
Monosaccharides Single sugar molecules are also refered to as, monosaccharides.
Polyasccharides The larger macromolecules formed from monosccharides are known as polysccharides.
Lipids Are made mostly from carbon and hydrogen atoms.
Nucleotides They consist of 3 parts; a 5-carbon sugar, a phosphate group, and nitrogenous base, as shown in figure 2-15.
Nucleic acids are macromolecules containing hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and phosphorus.
Ribnucleic acid (RNA) (RNA) and (DNA) are the two kides of nucleic acids.
