A system for giving each organism a two word scientific name that consists of the genus name followed by the species name. Binamial Nomenclature

Process by which unrealted species become more similar as they adapt to the same kind of enviroment. Convergent Evolution
Similarities that arise through the convergent revolution. Analogous Character
Phylogenic classification system that uses shared derived characters and ancestry as the sore criteri on for group taxa. Cradistics
Resput to two different groups. Ancestal Character
Ancestor of one group but not of the other. Derived Character
Biologists using cladistics construct a branching diagram. Cladogram
Taxonomists give varying degrees of importance to characters and produce an analysis. Evolutionary Systematics
