QuestionAnswer
Sepal protect the flower bud and can look like small leaves or even resemble the flower's petals.
Petal colorful structures that can both attract pollinators and provide them with a landing platform.
Stamen the male reproductive part organs.
Photoperiodism The response of an organism to seasonal changes in day length.
Short-day plant flowers when exposed daily to a number of hours of darkness that is greater then its critical period.
Long-day plant flowers when the number of hours of darkness is less than its critical period.
Intermediate-day plant are native tropical regions, they flower as long as the number of hours of darkness is neither too great or too few.
Day-neutral plant A plant that flowers over a range in the number of hours of darkness
