Cell basic unit of life that carries the characteristics of life.
Robert Hooke gave the name "cell" when obserbing a cork under a microscope.
Leeuwenhoek obserbed material from living specimens and saw moving cells.
Cell Theory all living things are made of cells which are the basic unit of life and living cells can make more cells.
Schlieden plants made of cells.
Schwann animals are made of cells.
Virchow cells come from other cells.
What three things are part if the cell theory? schlieden, schwann, virchow.
Cell Membrane cells are surrounded by a thin flexible barrier.
Nucleus a large membrane-enclsoed structure that contains genetic material in the form of DNA and controls cell activity.
Eukaryotes cells that are enclose their DNA in nuclei.
Prokaryotes cells that do not need enclosed DNA in nuclei.
