Gametes haploid cells that contain 1 of each chromosome type or a Sex Cells Ex: Sperm and Egg
zygote Afertilized egg that contains genes from both parents
Genetics The study of how traits are passed to offspring
Recessive shown with lowercase letters Ex: Curly fur =f
Dominant Shown with capital letters Ex: tall height =T
Homozygous The two alleles for a trait are the same EX: HH or hh
Heterozygous The two alleles for a trait are different E: Gg, The dog is Bb
Phenotype What the organism look like or an organism's physical appearance Ex: Blue Eyes
Genotype Organism's genetic make up or what are the organism's letters
Sperm Contains genes from the Father
Egg Contains genes from the Mother
