Pepsinogen gastric enzyme. made by the stomach cells,pepsin that breaks down the protein in the food into smaller particles, such as peptide fragments and amino acids.
Mucin The stomach destroys bacteria using its acidic environment and protects its own lining from its acid by secreting mucin and bicarbonate via its goblet cells, and also by having a rapid cell turn-over.
G cells the G cell is a type of cell in the stomach that secretes gastrin. It works in conjunction with gastric chief cells and parietal cells.
Pancreas A large gland behind the stomach that secretes digestive enzymes into the duodenum.
Bile 1.A bitter greenish-brown alkaline fluid that aids digestion and is secreted by the liver and stored in the gallbladder.
Solubilization : Bile acids are lipid carriers and are able to solubilize many lipids that remain suspended in water. Bile acids are also critical for transport and absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins
