what are Primary consumers / herbivores(plant eaters)? Consumers eat producers to get energy
what is a secondary consumer? A consumer eats a primary consumer to get energy
what is a tertiary consumer? A consumers eats a secondary consumers
what are omnivores( plants and meat eaters)? Consumers eat producers and other consumers
what are Carnivores (meat eater only)? Consumers only eat other consumers
what are scavengers? Consumers that eat other consumers that have already died
what are decomposeres? Organisms which break down dead organic matter so that that nutrients be reused by plants
what is a food chain? The transfer of energy from sun to producer to primary consumer to secondary consumer to tertiary consumer can be shown in a food chain
what is a food wed? Are interconnected food chains- they show the feeding relationships in an ecosystem
what is a ecosystem? Is a system in which living things interact with themselves and their non- living environment in such a way that the entire system is perpetuated
