What is a homeostasis? A homeostasis is a "constant state" that allows life to maintain its chemical reactions, in balance.
What is diffusion? Diffusion- the proccess by which molecules intermingle as a result of there kinetic energy of random moving.
What is passive transport? Passive transport is the movment of materials through a cell membrane using no energy diffusing through water.
What is active transport? Active transport is the movement of materials through a cell membrane requiring the use of energy opening pores using ATP, phagocylosis, pinocylosis. using cell microbrals again ATP, pumping against the diffusion or osmotic gradient.
what is hypnotonic solution? lets water flow in to the cell.
What is plasmolysis? is a cell shrinking due to the surounding hypotomic solution?
what is turgor pressure? an internal cell pressure that holds a cell to maximum size.
What 3 things does a plant cell have thst animal cells do not? 1. vacuole 2. cell wall 3. cytoplasm
pinocytosis cell drinking, forming a vacuole from cell membrane tp stare fluids.
phagocytosis cell eating, forming a vacuole around a particle of food, the vacuole. the membrane is aprt of the mebrane of the cell.
exocytosis passing of waste or hormone from a cell, dumping the vacuole out of the membrane.
what is the balanced photosenthesis equation? 6co2 + 6h2o-> C6 H12 O6 + 6O2
