Cell theory Cells are the building blocks of structure in living things; Cells are the smallest unit of life; cells are derived from other cells (pre-existing cells) by division.
The importance of cell surface: volume ratios and cell size The bigger the cells the surface area:volume ratio decreases. The smaller the cells the surface area:volume ratio increases. The smaller the cell is the more quickly and easily can materials be exchanged through the cytoplasm and environment.
How can magnification be stated? Magnification could be stated (for example ×250) or indicated by means of a scale bar
